A farmer cannot hide a crop.
Pretty simple. A crop is either planted or not planted. It’s a “Yes-No” proposition.
However, the Trump Administration can hide a report about crops and financial deficits that impact crops.
Oh my.
Today, Trump and Rollins have teamed up to alter a report.
How did they do that, you may ask?
ANSWER: WHITE-OUT
Remember that little jar we had with the brush when we typed and needed to correct errors?
It’s not what Rollins/USDA said. It’s what they failed to say. They covered up the facts because they didn’t like them.
The facts became invisible.
In Politico’s words: Trump officials delayed the farm trade report over the deficit forecast. Administration officials blocked publication of the written analysis that normally accompanies the report because they disliked what it said about the deficit.
Hmnnn. It’s a new board game: HIDE THE DEFICIT. WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T TELL GUYS AND GALS WHO DRIVE TRACTORS, WALK ON DIRT, OR RAISE ANIMALS.
Hide and Seek. Politico has spoiled their game.
Lesson Learned? Never trust people who play footsie with the numbers. Playing pure politics with farm data and broken promises related to tariffs and USDA contracts is not a pretty situation, and this should not be forgiven.
Lying Figures and Billions of Cuts do NOT go well together.
Plus, there is no Farm Bill.
Waldo is still searching.
